I heard yesterday it's best to view from as high up as you can. They say you can see the shadow cone barrelling in on you at 1400 mi/hr

Thought about taking the kids to Dollywood and see it while riding the roller coasters.

Might still do that but catch the eclipse around Nashville if somebody knows anybody with roof access

We get a partial up here in Chicago. I thought about taking Monday off but changed my mind.
It might be the end of the world but then again I might have to work Tuesday for the new overlord.

We won't see any of it, but I have been through a few and whoopee ding ding

It could be rather unnerving if it happened in the good old days when nobody knew what was happening though

You've seen a total solar eclipse at 100% coverage and thought big whoop?

You don't need anything to view a total solar eclipse

What about all the people looking up waiting to see it go total? It does not happen in an instant.

The stupid people won't be watching. Bet a ton will be unimpressed by a partial solar eclipse though. You have to be right in the path or it's just a ordinary blinding eclipse ;)

You sure they were total solar eclipses CP? I couldn't find any past dates in IA or TX but you know how the internet is.
