First call on monday. 4 ton Goodman condenser coil changeout. There was a bullet hole threw the condenser.

Got it all tore down and out. Got to looking at the new coil. My discharge line is 1/2. The new one on the coil is 3/8 and crimped at the ****ing header where i cant cut it off with tubing cutters. I had to cut it with a hacksaw blade and barely had enough copper to get a reducer stuck to it. The liquid line is 3/8. The old one had a tiny dryer before the service valve with a trap. I bend a new trap get everything ready to go and im out of acetylene. Shit! Call the boss and he brings some out. The drier they sent with the coil was 1/4x3/8. Wtf am i gonna do with that pos? I put a 3/8 drier on the OUTSIDE of the unit get it all soldered and its hissing like hell when i pit the nitrogen to it. I was kind of suspicious when i cut the lines on the new coil and it wasnt charged. I just figured , hey its a goodman. So the coil has a hole in the bottom tube. Some moron got rough with it in the warehouse.

These folks been out of ac for 3 days waiting for this pos. I went ahead and fixed it with the home owner watching (dont know if they knew what was going on or not. Never let em see ya sweat) and got the unit running. Told the boss and said they could sort it out with goodman or let it ride.

All this for a damn r22 goodman for a mobil home. Another $1000 and they could have had a bryant 410 condensing unit and evaporator. Smh

James, this is why resi companies need to carry a portable 10,000 btu unit for the customer in this case.

Except all the people in the taller buildings.

Office girl: There is a guy beating off on the roof next to us.

Police: That damn Daryl is at it again! We will call his Boss.

Boss Calls Daryl: I told you that wire lube is expensive cut it out. BTW Suzie in tower 2 says that is the smallest Pee Pee she has ever seen.
