I go back and forth between YJ ball valves and JB low lossers. I prefer the JBs for service and ball valves for installs & recharging.

Millennial’s by the time they figure out what hoses to buy? It’s time to go home. I use plain yellow hoses. If the pressure gets to the gauge I’m happy.

Blasphemy!!! The pressure will quickly recognize what color the hose is and will ONLY flow to the center port of your gauge set.:loltard:

@frozensolid I suppose the next thing you're going to try and tell me is that electrons don't care what color the wire is?:D

Tried the low loss fittings. They last about 6 months. Then you have to rebuild them. Issues on clearance on some equipment. I connect to several different types of refrigerants. So cross contamination. Can be an issue. Use hoses with built in ball valves. Found some of them will leak under vacuum. Use no ball valves for vacuums.

Love United's black hoses with ball valve. That being said I just bought a set of Cobras and then the ball valve extensions, use the cobras on my analogs.
