    Not true. Just last year I had a guy replace the thermopile...no go. She he called the gas valve...no go.

    I go out to help, gas line quick connect failed...no gas to fryer......no fire.

    I had one a few weeks ago. Gas valve not getting power, thermostat was bad - failed open. Put a jumper across the thermostat, burners lit right up.

    Drove back to the shop and got a thermostat, put it in, no fire.

    Now the gas valve is getting power but not opening. Had a gas valve delivered, put it in, took right off.
