I'm going on about 6 months of HVAC installation with a local HVAC company. I am loving every second and learning plenty. I am excited to learn and grow in the trade. But 5 days ago, me and the lead guy I work with finished piping a 5 heat pump Geo system which means we moved on to insulating all of the schedule 80 we just installed. Long story short, at the end of the day during clean up I wound up with a full inhale of the fiberglass dust as I was sweeping it into the dustpan. Almost instantly my chest and lungs were on fire. Its been 5 days with no improvement. Anyone here ever experienced this? Lots of chest pain, difficulty breathing, coughing up a lot of mucus/phlegm. And no sign of an end in sight. Any advice or tips to help would be great. Thanks everyone. I look forward to being a part of this forum and learning even more from the real experienced pros.

Sorry, sounds pretty crumby. Workmens comp, your employer all ready pays for it. Might as well use it

Done that once with flex. A loose fluf ball poofed up as I inhaled and hacked a lung for a few several minutes, maybe an hour. Was good to go afterwards. Good luck bud.
