    I keep my meter in its case until needed,whats a few extra seconds to retrieve.Been laughed at by other techs,but I ain't the one buying new test equipment every year! Got better things to spend money on. Who's laughing Now?

    That was the toughest meter I've had. I looked it up. Bought it used 4 years ago.

    i have my 87v and the things a best tool ever. I still have not used it to its full capability. I say fix it. friend broke his lcd too and fixed it. fluke run calibration after too I think when its in.

    I bought one of those DDM checkers. I'm not worried about it's calibration.

    No that's one thing I was looking for in a new meter.

    So I was looking for a LCD to buy and it looks like the replacement part supply dried up to the peoples. That's too bad it looked super easy to change.

    check fleabay some times you can get displays or broken meters with good displays - make sure you match the generation.

    in the mean time get new meter.
