    He probably can't see it either, but he may be able to reset it.

    Modern software basically encrypts passwords. When you enter your password it feeds through that encryption algorithm and compares the gobbly gook to the gobbly gook on record. We could use the same exact password and our gobbly gook would be different.

    If you can see passwords then that means they're stored in clear text and it's basically just screaming to get "hacked".
