Welcome to HVAC Pro Forums. We're glad you're here. Within this site, you will find that we are a very close knit group of people. Make no mistake, we are still HVAC professionals.

You will find that there is NO advertising here. This is a privately owned, non-corporate site. No one entity is looking over our shoulders, attempting to censor posts that in their opinion, hurts the name of their particular brand.

You will also find that political discussion of any kind is not permitted. These types of discussions tend to bring out the worst in all of us no matter what our political or moral affiliations may be.

We are a very diverse group, from installers, residential and commercial service techs, business owners, salesmen, and distributors. It's nice to have a site available at the end of a long day to kick back, relax, enjoy a beverage of your choice, and converse with other Pro's.

This site is not heavily moderated, but situations have arisen in the past where it has been necessary to eradicate troublesome members to maintain the integrity and continuity of the group.

Allow us to get to know you and get to know us as well. Once again, we welcome you to HVAC Pro Forums. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to PM me.

    All the best,

    HVAC Pro Forums

    Frequently asked, never formally answered

    Q. Does the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protect my freedom of speech on this forum?

    A. No, the First Amendment does not protect your freedom of speech at any forum community.

The First Amendment right to freedom of speech deals with actions by the federal and state governments. It does not apply to actions by private entities, such as an individual or a private corporation. It especially does not apply to administrative action by private individuals on forums -- this has been strongly reaffirmed by court cases as recently as 2010. It's a very simple concept: this is a private server, you're in our house, and you'll play by our rules.
